Many of you all might have read my last thread about 4wd parts and now this one is about 4wd hardware.Yes i know they are the same company but i thought about it alittle and decided to call and talk to them more before i ordered and see what happened and this is how the story goes.

1-Placed an order for rims and tires mounted and balanced.Same ones might i add that a week earlier 4wd parts took my money and then they told me they would be on backorder for a month...kinda funny heh

2.Items shipped very fast and i was very happy.

3.They get here,right at 1 week which was awesome.Everything is here but nothing mounted and balanced.ok no biggie just alittle pissed off but i had them and called and got money back for their charging me for the m&B.

4.Drop them off at local offroad shop to get them mounted and balance.Now heres where i start getting very pissed.1 rim is totaly drilled wrong and wont come close to balancing and another is alittle off but they managed to get it with a few tons of weights stuck all over it.

5.Called and told them what was going on and now i have to ship them the rim after i get the tire taken back off.Thats great,more money and time i get to waste

6 . and the best part.Now the rims are on backorder again and it will be a month


Kinda makes me think they knew they were messed up rims before they shipped them because they "accidently" forgot to mount and balance them,

thanks for nothing I truely dont know what i did to deserve all this headache but i think im going to stick with local suppliers from now on even if i have to pay more and let them deal with these shitty companies.

Alsp today i found an awesome deal on ebay...buy it now..i bought and payed using paypal and then the asswipe emails me saying since paypal holds the money now untill i leave feedback he cant send it untill he has the money because he is broke.WTF!!!! now im gonna mess up my perfect feedback on ebay because im leaving him negative......

It just been a crappy month for me i need a

 

you pay for your stuff instantly and before you get the produt the guy wants a pos. feedback? WTF. That guy sounds like a scammer..e mail Paypal and ebay about it and see what happens. I've never heard of paypal holding the money until feedback is left...sounds shady. I usually have the product on my doorstep before I leave feedback...

Also had a problem with 4wd. I ordered a winch plate online to be delivered to the local 4wparts...E-mail said it should arrive in 7-14 days and the manager would contct me when it arrives...8 days later I just call to see by chance if it was in...the guy tells me those plates aren't shipping till mid january...cancel that order....while not major I would have like to have been told when I order something...

 

From what im reading on paypal they started doing this.I like the idea.This guy didnt because he couldnt afford to ship the items without my payment in hand.He had perfect feedback lol.I havent used ebay in prolly 3-4 months so im not totally sure on the details of it but if all they do is hold the funds untill the buyer gets their product and leaves feedback i like the idea of that.

 

I've gotta raise the bullshit flag. I hardly ever leave feedback on anything I buy online, and I easily place half a dozen orders online each month. Those vendors would be shit-outta-luck, huh? And I don't usually speak or write like that, but this guy is scamming you and you need to wake up to that.

 

4wd hardware:
They are the distributor and not a mfg so they couldn't have anything to do with the quality issues you mentioned. And I believe in a good conspiracy story like the next guy but it seems unlikely that they opened the boxes, noticed the issues, realized oh shit, sealed the boxes back up all to make a dissatisfied customer. JMHO


It's a scam I'd report it to paypal.

When I've sold stuff on ebay, they have held funds until confirmation of reciept thru UPS.

Sounds fishy.

 

First, I know the people in the warehouse. They would not open something, find that its damaged and still ship it out.

That just double the work, because they'll have to restock it when it comes back and ship it back out to the vendor.

2ndly, Depending on where you live. it might have came from a 4wheel parts warehouse not directly from 4wd

The auction has been cancelled and my money has been put back through paypal.It was paypal who was pending giving him the money untill i responded.Ill read more about it but i have never seen them do this before.I dont think he was a scammer just a fn moron

On a good note look what i did today with no rubbing or problems.

Ive been buying and selling through eBay for almost 15 years, and exclusively use paypal. The money goes in immediately, regardless of feedback.
