Give Me Some Excuses!

Remember the snowstorm last year that left everyone stuck? The Jeep will guarantee the survivial of the kids!
If she realizes that it's not supposed to snow, tell her that global warming is causing all sorts of freak weather episodes this season.
>>
Or, you could google scenic trail spots along the way and plan an off the beaten path picnic with just the family and the beautiful outdoors.
If she's like mine, you'll have better luck with the romantic, thoughtful one and shouldn't bother to argue "superior elemental survivability" just-in-case-the-world-ends-excuse.
Good Luck!
You give us hope in that I'll probably be having the same discussion for the holidays.

I second the idea of enlisting the kids.
Get them to nag her, incessantly, whining how much more they enjoy the Jeep, the van will be so lame, I don't wanna go unless it's in the Jeep, etc.
Then when she flips out and threatens the well-being of every person in the house and you end up taking the minivan anyway, you'll know you've done your very best.

C'Mon man... You can do this!
You're breaking my heart Mac! Be a strong example for those of us that are gearing up to engage in matromony! Show us that a man NEVER has to give up NFL Sundays unless it's absolutely necessary! Be a leader. Do the right thing.

The word "never" has no place in a marriage.

Why do you even have a minivan????????????
And yes, I am married, although no kids...
And I guess im lucky, my wife HATES minivans as do I so we will not be getting one.
Good luck on taking the Jeep, If I were you I would just let the air out of one of the tires the night before and then she wont have a choice
