Had the same damn thing happen to me up here in VT. All the carpet is pulled drying out. Thinking about doing something else.

I know some use car garage when they get a use car they clean the inside with a garden house and dry the electronic out with compressed air.
They being doing this for a really long time and never got issue.

Usually car electronic is build to withstand a lot of moisture, but we all know electricity and water do not mix so turn it off until it dry

I ran inside to grab something and snapped this pic. Then it started hailing. yay.

my biggest worry was the cb but so far so good.

Haha, i feel your pain, i thought to myself as it was just sprinkling rain on me that the spiderweb shade was doing just fine covering the rain. Until it started raining sideways and hailing! Then the mesh was turning every rain drop into a misty fog in my JK. it was almost comical for a while

The only thing you can do is swap out your speakers for marine grade equipment. THe dash isnt really an option as the radio is not marine grade and so water can make it in between buttons, screens and whatnot. You cant really seal it up either as it needs air to keep from overheating. THe rest of the dash has things like defrost vents and whatnot that you are once again, stuck with being not waterproof. My only suggestion would be some kind of dash cover that could absorb most of the water till you could take shelter. Throw a towel over your radio face and either a carpeted dash cover or another towel over the rest of the dash to protect it.

Default I would recomend...

... forgoing Marine speakers. I use Memphis Audio and when I ruin them, I snap off the tweeter and send it in.

... looking at the price of an H1 Alpha. You think Jeep should marine grade our electronics because the roof comes off? They they couldn't offer a $24k Jeep.

... Getting a Radar App for your smart phone, NOT a weather app. My phones in the Jeep so i cant recal what brand mine is, but even the free version uses a real radar. So like Jay-Z I can "dodge raindrops". The free version links you to some nearby radar installation, the paid version gives you ALL of them.

Default Got caught in storm yesterday

Top off, doors off. Huge storm comes up in Chicago Burbs. I had the freedom front panels, so I put them on. I have an emergency cab cover, and I get that on just as the rain starts to fall. But in the 90mph wind, off goes the cab cover. Next I watch the front panels go flying about 30 feet. (Forgot to put in the screws, just clamped 'em down since I wasn't driving.) The corners of the panels are all banged up. So I am looking to fix those. Water filled the floors. Pulled the plugs and it mostly dried out in the sun. But today the radio volume won't adjust. The rain came in sideways and I even have water in the center console. So I will be fixing the tops, shopping for a new emergency cover and a radio, and a trektop if I can justify it.
