Dealer: What color do you want?
Me: What?
Dealer: What color Wrangler are you looking for?
Me: Oh, I hadn't thought about it. How about NOT red and NOT black.
Dealer: Oh, okay, I think we can do that.

Theres a reason most expo rigs are white or silver...I know I wouldnt want to be rolling into Ecuador with paint that screams "rob this gringo"

I frequently regret not getting my jeep when they had rescue green. Honestly, that color had a lot to do with me looking at jeeps for my next car. None of the new colors did it for me so just went silver.

Gecko gone???
The Wrangler brochure buyer's guide enclosure shows Deep Cherry Red Crystal, Winter Chill, and Black Forest Green all say Pearl but Gecko does not mention Pearl (or Clearcoat).
Cars.com usually is accurate in their descriptions. They mention whether colors are clearcoat or pearlcoat or not. They state Gecko as pearlcoat which I think is a shiny look rather than dull.

Looked back at the 2011 Challenger special edition color "Green with Envy" which could be Gecko on the 2012 Wrangler. It does not mention pearlcoat but it has a shiny look. I recall the 2012 Gecko color code as "PFM" I think. If anyone has the Challenger Green with Envy code color the same as PFM, or the same as the Gecko code, then its probably the same color. Where are the spies for this color?

All 2 stage paint is clear coated .... metallics, pearls or plain solid colors. They all get a clear coat.
