Default which gears?

what gears should i go with for my unlimited? its got 35s on it..
my dad talked to some guys and they told him 4.88s...(truck guys) and i talked to some of my jeep friends and they say 5.13s

yeah, i wish i had a stick, theyre so much more fun to drive...but thats not how it went down. lol.

ah yes...ask your dads truck guys how much experience they have with the 3.8L 60 deg V6 coupled to the poorly paired transmissions like your Automatic? My guess not alot of experience. The majority of those truck guys don't have to worry about power output, they have tons of torque to spare that they can lose some of the gearing. Stick to what the Jeep guys are telling you...and refer to the numerous gear charts on the forum. 5.13's at least I would imagine for you.

I say 5.13, question #2 is do you plan on going larger than 35s, ever?

He's got a sahara, so d30....5.13s are the highest(numerically) he can go.

Replying to my question about 35s? Going larger will change your final drive ratio. Making it need more gear (higher numerically) to get the same performance. It would change the recommendation of ring and pinion ratio.
