gas mileage effects

It's not about worrying. It's about being efficient and not inadvertently throwing money away. If one can get better mpg's by some simple procedures, then why not? MOG's matter to me and opening the rear and driving easy make a big difference. One mpg better is about $4 less per fill up. Or a drink at my favorite bar.

So glad my JK is a toy not a DD. I did tires and lights. No lift or "heavy" mods. I dont need them for my purposes. My milage dropped, but not sure exactly how much because I didnt get reprogramed. I got 16.5 mpg stock with an auto and 4.10 gears. Seems I lost about 1.5 mpg going to 34" MT tires that weigh a lot more. I also lost the air dam. I lost it in a mud hole, the way true Jeepers remove their unwanted Jeep parts.
My DD is an old Honda CRV that I HATE, but gets mid 20s mpg.

For me when I am using it as a DD, it's like a little game I play in my head to see if I can top my mpg's from the previous tank. Drives my wife crazy HAHA.
