Gas Milage???
Is that w/ the 33" or stock tires???
Because mine is only saying around 15-16 on the highway, but i only have 250 miles on it too. Will the gas milage improve after it breaks in and get a few thousand miles on it??? Also it seems to kick in and out of overdrive alot!!! Thanks....

Expect 14-18 depening on how you drive. I get 18, which is a little over 400 miles per tank. I never go above 55mph, I always coast in neutral when I can and I shut off the engine at red lights.

It will get better around 2000-4000 miles as hte engine breaks in. I had been getting 17-18 on average stock, but since lifted it 2.5" added a Jeeperman rear bumper and carrier, roof rack, rock raisl, etc. So figure I've added about 250lbs total, but know I'm getting about 19-20. If I drive it really carefully with the top on, no doors or windows, I've gottan as much as 22mpg out of a full tank, however that was without the rack, which comes in about 60-70lbs.
Another tip to improve mileage is changing out all the fluids to synthetic, that seemed to help as well.

Manual vs. auto seems to have a huge difference according to people on this board. They're both rated similarly at the factory at 18mpg or whatever, but if you pamper it when you're trying to stretch the tank you can do much better with the stick. I find my auto tranny tends to run with high rpm's too often, as though the engine lacks torque. It does lack a 5th gear, which is a problem for mpg. When I pamper I get 18. With a stick people are getting in the low 20's. Plus, you can hypermile and get around 25-30 mpg with a stick. I hypermiled my auto and got 23 'til I learned that you can hurt an auto tranny doing so.
