Damn straight. What the hell do yall think the 4L80E is? Yup, it's basically a turbo 400 with an overdrive stuffed in it. Just like Mopar. The A500 is a 904 with overdrive stuff and the A518 is a 727 with overdrive stuff. I think this merger will work well. It's a damn site better than pairing Chrysler with some foreign company. GM has made some fine vehicles through the years. Just like Chrysler. They've both made bombs, too. Can you say Vega and Colt? With the AM General (military) and White GMC (OTR Trucks) attached, General Motors is NOT goin anywhere. Shut up the naysayin and be glad Renault might not be gettin it.

Isn't GM also in the process of canning Hummer because they're not making money on them anymore? Might not have to worry about the ugly redheaded stepchild that you want to beat with a shoe.

If it does happen maybe they will put the 4.5-liter Duramax Diesel in the Wrangler; how does 310-horsepower and 520 pound-feet of torque with a six speed auto sound out of the box... I would still prefer the 6.6-liter Duramax with the six speed Allison; I have owned two of them, and would love to shoe horn one under the hood of my JK...
But then again wasn't Chrysler working on a 5.0-liter Cummins? But then you probably have to deal with trans issues...Unless of course things have changed in the LD Dodge trucks...

Chrysler-GM or Chrysler-Nissan Merger?
Anyone else hear on the news this morning that there were talks about Chrylser looking at merging with either GM or Nissan??? I just heard a blurb just as I was leaving the house.
