Just think another slice of market share immediately obtainable by GM. This will cause Toyota to have to work harder to become the worlds largest automaker.......

The negotiations between 100-year-old GM and 83-year-old Chrysler began more than a month ago, according to the Times. Its sources said the chances of a merger were "50-50" as of Friday and likely would take weeks to complete.

Oh no...I'm am NOT a fan of GM. I'm not the biggest fan of Chrysler either. Too bad it's not Toyota and Chrylser trying to merge. Thoughts folks?

GM has made some huge mistakes with marketing and different elements of their products (horrid interiors, etc), but their engines and transmissions run forever no problems. If Jeep got some of the good elements without the sucko stuff it might not be that bad. That's better than the Renault/Chrysler merger I've been reading about.
