I have run my 2dr down a few times, I don't even pay any attention when the light comes on, but when the dash starts flashing "Low Fuel" thats when i start to look for fuel. The most I have ever put in is just over 60 litres. so lots of spare.

Keep in mind tank sizes are different 2Dr/4Dr. 19 vs 23 gals
On My JKU the low fuel orange dash light usually comes on when DTE- 'drive to empty' is at 40 miles, then 'Low Fuel' starts blinking at 30 DTE.
So basically, 2.5ish gals remaining at 40 and 2 gallons @ssuming 15 mpg. It usually takes me about 18.5 gallons to fill it right after the first light comes on and I find my way to a station. So I actually have 4.5 gallons of fuel when it's telling me I have 2.5. That's a pretty good cushion of stupidity.

A little under a quarter. I have driven it til it just started touching the empty mark. I like to see how far down I can go without running out. I do the same thing with my Honda Goldwing. So far I have been lucky. Last week a guy at work tried doing it with his Lincoln. When he came walking into the parking lot Pops was muttering something about his computer saying he had 2 gallons left. Not a happy man.
