Front Licence Plate Bracket?
I am picking up a new Jeep Wrangler 4 door tommarow and it has no place for the front plate, the dealer is not sure if there is a bracket or what? Do you just screw it on in the center of the bumper?

Wow, nice to know NJ isn't the only state still requiring front plates!
But yeah, no bracket here, just two self-tapping screws right into the black plastic. Very innovative. I just find it odd the dealer didn't figure a way to mount a backward bracket for free mirror advertising, the gluttonous bastards.

Drill it into the Plastic Skid Plate below your bumper if you are keeping it. It will still be visible from the front and look better than drilling it into the front bumper itself.
I got pulled over and the cops thought I did not have a front plate until he bent over and saw it under the front bumper.

Our bumper has two indentations where it looks like the license plate could be screwed in. It is an '07, so mayb e the newer ones don't have those starter holes. Worth a look!

Mine too. I dont have a front plate and it took me 30 seconds to figure that out. That dealer seems like a bit of a MoMo!

My 08 has two holes in the front where it mounts. Just screw it on, and away you go! Don't worry about it, spend a few days on here and you'll be replacing the factory POS anyway!

I plan on replacing the bumper anyway, but thats a piss poor design for people that want to keep their bumpers. If I was going to keep it I wouldn't want to put screws right through the front of the bumper.
