I didn't want to use a temp attachment to my fairlead because it could fall off or get stolen. I didn't want to bolt it on because I wanted easy access to my winch.
I made a holder out of flat iron, a few bolts, and some hose clamps. Attaches nicely to my hoop and is solid as hell.

Way old bump...but.....
I picked up my jeep with this bumper (Warn Rock Crawler) and there weren't any screws for the license plates. I can't find anything that fits the holes in there. What did you use to mount yours? Or did you just use what you had from the stock bumper? Hope you still check this thread/have your JK...

I used the fairlead attachment on my 09, but on my 2011 I installed the Benchmark "Elite" front bumper and it has a real nice flat spot directly under the fairlead. I drilled two holes and tapped them out and mounted my license plate there and it looks good and is real solid.

They are probably referring to commercial vehicles (truck) not Jeeps and cars....
