Default Freedom Panels with Windjammer and Duster Cover

Like a good NOOB I have searched the threads and can't quite find an answer. Does anyone run this setup?

I have a hardtop only and am looking to run my freedom panels with a windjammer (not wraparound) and duster rear deck cover as a summer top. My backseats are removed so that's not an issue. I would keep the duster on all summer to keep prying eyes out of the cargo area and throw the panels and windjammer on during rain.

What are your likes/dislikes and any pics would be great as well!

Thanks in advance.

Sounds like a nice look in my opinion. Of course you know it won't be water tight but will keep your cab pretty dry. I ran most of the summer with my bikini, wind screen and duster/tonneau (all Mopar on my 99 TJ). The bikini leaked a lot but the rest was pretty good.

I may pursue a similar setup to what you propose this summer with my new JK.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm pretty sure it is a unique look. I haven't seen anyone running it yet. I talked with an upholsterer today about modifying the windjammer to seal it better. But I'm also thinking about removing the carpet and lining the tub so a little rain won't hurt anyways

I guess I will be the only one around running this setup. I will post pics when spring rolls around.

Can you post updates when you buy your setup and run it. I went to my local or shop this summer and was told this couldnt be done, even though I had a sneaking suspicion that it could. Pics please!!

Yep - keep us up to date. I'd be interested to see how it works out for you, and any mods you add to help make it more water tight.

OK, will do. I plan on ordering in a month or so and installing around April 15 depending on when the warm weather gets here.

@phantomandy I thought I saw some pics of your Jeep in the snow thread. Is that a geocaching sticker in the window? (Did I just hijack my own thread? lol)

Get the soundbar cover as well.
I think it will work just fine for you, but if the rain is coming down you'll feel it coming in through the gaps.
