So I'm driving home after work down a dirt and gravel road I've driven nearly every day for the last eight years and this Suburban passes me from the opposite direction probably doing better than 50. The speed limit on this road is 35 and this guy was flying. I wave and turn sightly toward him and this sizable rock flies through my open window and nails me right in the middle of my forehead! So with blood dripping off my head, I drive the rest of the way home and immediately order a pair of ballistic sunglasses. That would've really hurt had it hit me in my cheap sunglasses.

Dang, that had to sting a bit. At least the safety glasses are cheaper than a window

 

I had a similar incident one time in an old pickup. The rock came in the side window and busted out the back window. Missed my ear only by a little bit.

Glad you didn't get hurt too bad.

 

Here I am, worried that I'm about to read ANOTHER story about someone's JK getting smashed... but it was only your head! Phew!

Sorry to hear that this happened, and glad you're OK - would've been a lot worse (like you said) if it hit your sunglasses or worse yet, your eye!
