First oil change (free at the dealership). Anything to look out for?
Taking my 2014 JK Sport to the dealership soon for it's first oil change (free).
I'm new to Jeeps. Anything I should be on the lookout for or have them look at?
I'll take over maintenance once this is out of the way.
The only options it had were:
-air conditioning
-430 RBZ
-twill top
-upgraded wheels/tires
Changes I've made to it are:
-remove the stickers
-slush/mud mats
-polyfill the soundbar
-ziptie the transfer case
-install backup camera (needs starscan activation)
-Rubicon shocks and springs
-trailer hitch
Changes I want to make (but won't until the warranty is gone or I hit the jackpot)
-regear 4.88
-Eaton TrueTracs front and rear
-2.5-ish lift.

Just keep in mind that nice person in the Service Drive is a SALESMAN. He will lie, cheat and steal every time his lips move.
Be careful.

I agree with Phx, the very first thing to look out for is the dealer...lol They have a routine they follow when you bring it in. After my first free oil change, I found my master cylinder cap was missing. When I went back and told the "mechanic" it was missing, he said he had some in his toolbox and would put one on. The one I got back was obviously older than the one I brought in (my Jeep was 6 months old and everything still looked pristine under the hood, my tool box treasure was covered in grease). So I'm thinking he pretty much picks them up off the floor after people leave when they fall off wherever he puts them when he is checking it.
Check their work because apparently the oil change guys at some dealerships are the noobs, least amount of experience in the whole bunch.

Some extra insurance the cable won't pop off while shifting.

@TheDoubleD - Not yet. I did start getting the mystery chime immediately after startup, which some say is a heads up that the light will go on soon. We'll see.
It's nearly 5,000 miles, the oil is a little dark, started getting the mystery chime, and I want my backup camera activated.

I was asking as my dealer recommends an oil change every 3,000 miles which is simply a waste of customers money and oil. I always wait for the computer as it uses an algorithm based on time and usage.

stupid-AXx dealers. Mine told me my warranty would be voided if I didn't change the oil every 3000 miles. Scoundrels.

Make sure they put oil in it once they drain it. Check it when you get home or even better, before you leave. Yes, I've left empty before and my drain bolt was torqued so tight I broke 3 sockets trying to get it off.
