first day doorless drive

I also recommend the Bestop soft doors ..... So light throw them in the back when you want the doors off experience or just remove the windows for 1/2 doors. Of all the money I've spent on my jeep I'm really happy I invested in these no more hassle with taking doors on and off and finding storage ...... With the humid summers here you never know when a thunderstorm will pop up... So couldnt always leave the doors at home..... Now I can take the hard doors off in March and leave them off til the end of Oct. Every jeep leaks not worried about an extra drop or two ..... For hiway speed flapping simple fix .... I've attached photos and like $10 in parts..... The hole is cut in the top upper corner of the front doors(you'll see the extra door fabric on the inside so there is no hole to the outside where rain would come thru). Attach D ring thingy with the hooked bungee strap and when driving hook to sun visor hinge you'll see in pic with pen pointing to it.

Attachment 636466 I run like this when the weather is descent...no doors when it's above 70!
But alas, it's way too expensive for the limited amount of time I'd use them. Truth is that when rain is even a remote possibility and air conditioning is a likely requirement, it's hard to beat the flexibility of ordinary JK doors and the factory soft top.
A day at a time, no doors is a lot of fun though. I just have to make it more compatible with my life.

I would love a set of half doors, especially the rear half doors. But alas, it's way too expensive for the limited amount of time I'd use them. When you take the doors off, it is a far less flexible vehicle. The soft doors or half doors may improve that some, but not completely since you still don't have roll-up windows or complete interior rain protection available.

No I mean the JEEP has lots of flexibility when equipped with the ordinary JK doors. Not talking about taking them off, I mean leaving them on. Heh... I still wish I had half doors. But I'm so conflicted because I know I'm going to be out and about with no doors or half doors and find that I really need the full doors. And top.
Too. Many. Options.
For example, IF I had a storage solution (TBD, this weekend, maybe), then I would have been sorely tempted last night to pull the doors off of the Jeep and drive it that way today. But tomorrow morning it's supposed to be in the mid-20s and I don't think I can drive to work with the doors off when it's 26 degrees. I supposed these are the breaks with a Wrangler as a DD.
