Incredible. Looking as some of the tips on here, I feel quite unprepared with my kit. I never would have thought of tampons, pads, super glue and several other items. Seeing the uses for them now, other then the obvious, I have some shopping to do tonight
Thanks for all the great tips folks!

I cant tell you how many times I have had to perform a field tracheotomy...Thats how I got my screen name!!! Its the first thing I do when I see someone go down on the trail. I have perform this procedure on bee stings, stubbed toes, headaches and everything in between - haven't lost a patient yet. As an aggressive first responder, I am always amazed by how people react to emergency assistance, I have literally had to chase people down!!!

Going to have to check out Walmart this weekend, just got my new Jeep and forgot all about the First Aid Kit.
I'll never forget at Paragon about 3 years ago our group of S10's ran across a group of highly modded jeeps with no roof or doors that ran into a huge Hornet / Wasp / Bee nest and they all got stung up pretty bad, the worst part was one of them was alergic and none of us or them had a Sting Kit, needless to say they had to drive as fast as they could back to the lot to meet an ambulance.

Got myself a couple Porsche reflective triangles & First Aid kits. Tell you the truth I've never even opened them but I could tell you they do weigh a bit and feel "full". Probably a bunch of Gauze pads and stuff.
The nice thing is that everything fits perfectly in that little compartment in the back.

Besides the routine sunburn spray and bandaids, I have a couple of Epi pens and Epi Jr, Disposable Intubation kit, disposable Laerdal Bag II bag valve mask, Epi, Lido, ASA, Glucose paste, NaCl (2 500cc bags), assorted IV cannulas and IV tubing, saline locks, suture kits, portable defib, Bolin chest seals, pulse ox, Celox A bleeding control granules, and copies of signed release of all liability should you or a loved one request my assistance. I think that covers most of it.
