Default Fifth Wheel Camper

Does anyone know if there is some sort of conversion kit or way to tow a fifth wheel with my 2008 JK 4 dr? It is only a 24ft camper that my mother-in-law wants to sell.

Thanks

Never heard of anything like that, even if there is a way I say it's a bad idea and not worth it. I'd just pay somebody to move it.

They do make something that would physically work... It's essentially a towable dolly that has a gooseneck or 5th wheel plate installed on it. Very common around here for transporting multiple horse/stock trailers from the factory to the dealership lots. Do a quick Google image search and you'll probably find what you're after.

Wow, I never saw one of these.., still a lot of tongue weight.., way too much for a 3500 pound rating.

Don't know if you want to go into it this far, but the folks at Avenger S/C in Colorado Springs make a top conversion that opens up the rear cargo area like a pickup truck. Then add the 5th wheel hitch stuff and you're good to go. (assuming the trailer isn't way over your tow limit?)

The rear area is covered in this pic, but JKS has their 2door JK in there now having this top put on with no rear cover. It will just be bedlined and open.

You'll never find a 5th wheel camper that's under 3500lbs EMPTY let alone loaded.

And there's only a handful of 5th wheels with a low enough pin weight for a 1/2 ton truck, let alone a Jeep.
