Default It could happen it seems.

Man I googled "Fiat Jeep News" and a bunch of blogs and articles pulled up. Heres on I found on "OneIndia.com"

Word in the grape vine says a possible deal that sees Fiat buying about 35% stakes in Chrysler. Chrysler is the American company that is known to produce the legendary Jeep Cherokee. It is also the company that is known to produce gas guzzlers with little concern for the environment. Fiat on the other hand is the company that owns Ferrari, Alfa Romeo et al and designed the legendary 500. So how does the deal help either company?

With Chrysler, the answer is obvious, 'Technology'. With the deal, Chrysler will have access to low cost fuel efficient cars that satisfy emission norms. That is Chrysler might be able to produce green cars that people may actually want to buy. Fiat in turn will have access to Chrysler's vast dealer network in North America.

Fiat recently launched Linea in India. It also has a tie-up of sorts with Tata motors centered on the small car production. Now with the Fiat -Chrylser deal, Jeep models such as wrangler may head to India, as the deal means Chrysler would have access to the Fiat's market. So be ready to buy wranglers and Vroom...

maybe our will start looking like this....

I've got it!.

Why don't we take up a collection here in this forum and buy Jeep ourselves.

Just think. No more Warranty BS from dealers cause we'll be their bosses.

Great discounts on factory parts.

Better than "Employee Pricing".

We can call it JK Forum Motors

I'm guessing if each member came up with $100,000.00 we could do it.

How about everyone sending a check in the above amount to me and I'll drive up and buy the place?

No we'll fire all the union workers (just like the man in your avatar did to the airline flight controlers)

Then we can:

A- all work in the factory ourselves or

B- hire illegal workers to work in our places for less than minimum wage or

C- hire American workers at a decent wages & benefits but not allow any executives to make more than the highest skilled worker, have no better benefits than an hourly worker and no bonuses unless shared equitably by all workers.

Or is "C" some kind of socialism

Anyway:

Chrysler wants access to Fiat's pattens as Fiat wants access to Chrysler's,
check out some of Fiat's at fptpowertrain.com ,also here maesco.com, at maesco look under iveco motors for sofim hpi engines 2.3 and 3.0, the 3.0 may be the next wrangler engine. if it is ,i hope they can put it in the 2010 jeep ,a long with the phoenix v6.

I am hearing Congress is leaning to combining Chrysler and GM.
Keep all that taxpayer money in 1 place.

Could that mean Hummer and Jeep come back together?

Maybe I can get a good deal on roof running lights for my softtop
