To build on that, I had similar thoughts. At the already large cost of the Jeep, $100 over 5 years was negligible to have the tow package already installed since I wanted 3.73's. Plus the hitch and wiring are covered under warranty. Therefore I ordered Max Tow.
I am only running a TF spacer kit, so I thought great, I'll have the nice heavy duty springs under mine since I have a dual top, Max Tow equipped Jeep. Low and behold, I find a set of 17's in the front and 58's out back...WTF? Seems like the spring selection in these is achieved by tossing at a dart board as they're built. I traded some other stuff for a nice set of low mileage take off 18/59's to offset my AEV bumpers.
