Default Factory Half Doors - how much wind noise?

I have rented a 2010 Wrangler Unlimited on two separate occasions, both for a week. Had a soft top/full doors. I thought that the wind noise at highway speeds with top up was VERY low for a jeep.

I'm going to be getting a Wrangler Unlimited, probably 2012 model, and absolutely will get half doors, unless they finally offer a dual top AND door package. Anybody care to comment on noise difference, if any vs. full doors?

Thanks!

my 2 door (1/2 doors) is pretty quiet when the top and all windows are in.
Still more quiet than my 98 tj with full doors/soft top.

Plus any extra noise will be worth it for when you can take those upper sections off.

My JK came with full doors and I traded for the half doors. The half doors are noticeably noisier on he highway than the full doors. I love my half doors though ... and wouldn't hesitate to get them again.

Agreed. Noisier. Better.

They are a little louder at highway speeds. Its not that bad. For me its a trade off for the great visibility and open air feel when I leave the uppers at home.
