eye hook q for hard top lift
What size did you all use?
I was debating between 5/16x4 or 3/8x4.5
Also did you guys see they all say do not use for overhead storage?

Unless it is a closed forged eye bolt it will not be rated for overhead lifting. A 1/2" forged eye bolt is rated around 2,400 lbs each and you will pay $6.00 - $8.00 each instead of $1.00 each.

My guess would be no....your top weighs what 150 lbs or so? These eye screws are used all day long for porch swings...2 adults plus a porch swing I am guessing on average weighs 250-300 lbs.
You should be fine.
