I've always liked the sounds that magnaflow produce. I'm curious though... with the way the tailpipes come out the back and under the rear bumper... Do you worry about smashing them on rocks or anything? I would think the way I've come off some ledges and rocks before they would be smashed in no time. I love the look and would love to do that too, but I don't know of any way currently to protect them from getting smashed. So for now I'ma avoid that route. Any advice on that?

It's there, but it's not mall-crawler-never-been-on-anything-more-challenging-than-a-muddy-dirt-road-pick-up-truck loud. I highly recommend it.

If this sounds like a muffler that might interest you, give Brett a call and ask about it. Once he perceives enough interest, maybe he'll put that Pentastar muffler out. JeepSWAG.com for more info.
Just received a reply from Brett that he's working on it for the 3.6L.
It seems it wouldn't take long.

I installed this one. Sounds great but too loud for me at highway speeds. Probably going to remove after a few weeks. Anyone interested in a really good deal on a barely used muffler?

Does changing the factory muffler to an aftermarket muffler affect the vehicle warranty in anyway ?

No, changing out the muffler will not void the warranty.

As was kind of but not really pointed out in this thread, and most exhaust threads on this forum for some reason, almost no one is posting what year their Jeeps are.

You cannot recommend exhaust systems for a 3.6 if you have a 3.8 and vice versa, they sound COMPLETELY different.

I did lot of research into this subject, and had 5 different exhaust systems installed on my 2013JKU before I found one that fit the OP's original question, louder than stock but not loud.

The aFe MACH Force XP Axle-back is most likely what you are looking for, you can read my thread on it, and other exhaust systems that I had installed, here:

I will quickly comment on some of the other recommendations in this thread.
The MBRP was great on the 3.8, it is the system I had on my 2007, however on the 3.6 it doesn't sound ANYTHING like it used to, and for the worse.

I had pretty much every Dynomax system on my 3.6 at one point.
The VT Catback was way too high pitched for my liking, it sounded the closest to a ricer of any that I had.
The rock crawler and comp systems (cat back exiting before and after the axle) IMHO sounded the best, but the highway drone was unbearable, likely due to the fact that the OEM resonator was removed.

I cannot comment on the Bank since I did not have it or have ever heard it.
I also cannot comment on the Magnaflow Dual exhaust, however this was never an option for me as it sits way too low and would be crushed almost instantly if doing any mild off-roading.

As was stated by someone else, retaining the OEM resonator is the best way to keep highway drone down.
The aFe system was great because it added just a little bit of growl to the Jeep, was about 1/3rd the weight, is tucked a few inches higher than the stock muffler, and retains the OEM resonator, which was the perfect combination of things for me.

Ran out of rig money for a while there friends

This seems to be the exact exhaust that I want

I will update this thread when I am able to get it!

Got the AFE axleback exhaust. It is Perfect! Exactly what I wanted, a bit more sound than stock when putting down power, but no drone and not going to wake anybody up. The expanded ground clearance is a bonus.
