When I was in the military, I had a buddy from the Bronx who would line the rear of his aftermarket HU with razor blades. 
Fortunately EVERYTIME his vehicle had been broken into the thief/thieves were unsuccessful in taking the HU. They left a good trail of evidence though...poor suckers

Sorry about that.
I came home from work on christmas eve and they had broken into my truck. There were blood on the broken glass and though DNA. I get a call 3 months later that they caught the guy the broken in to my truck.
