My 08 wrangler, has the same problem if its a problem at all. Was out playin in a " little " mud, was drivin home and have the same problem, the light wont shut off, everything is tight and lined up center, could mud have gotten into something that would cause this??? anyone have any ideas if its a problem to just leave the light on?

To fix... remove the cable from the battery.. let it sit for a few minutes (really do this).. when you hook back up the battery the light will be off.

 

@Raildog13 - Thread is a year and a half old. It's dead. Thread Necromancy is pretty dusgusting as it usually is covered in maggots by now.
