Damon, I see you have edited you postings, and your location is "nonya" lol. Still, tell the insurance company the truth. They will either cover it (and perhaps jack your rates) or they won't.

The only thing I have found worth lying about (for survivals sake) is when my wife asks "honey does this dress make me look overweight?".

Your dilemma is why I long ago determined that when I cannot afford to fix it out of pocket, I stop using vehicles as toys and they become more gently treated transportation. I have been there before, and life could easily put me there again.

Its not like insurance companies weasel out of paying claims and look for every small detail to screw you...

Who keeps THEM honest?

Your right, and I should hope not. Like I said....IF an insurance company ever tried to do this, then they are no better than crooks. It's like bad business practice to take someone's money in exchange for a service and then refuse to provide the service.

A buddy if mine just hydrolocked his a few weeks back...videos were on YouTube! Anyway, USAA covered the loss! They say that since this was not a competition they cover it! He then went out the next day in his dd and wrecked that! I am guessing his rates will go up, but kudos to usaa!
