engine wont start after water in intake

Sorry to hear about your troubles and hope that everything works out as well as possible.
I do have a question for the forum, though. I saw from a few different posts that disconnecting the fuel pump is a good idea. Anyone have some engine pics to describe how to do this exactly, just for those of us who are a bit mechanically challenged!
Thanks

Definitely don't crank it without pulling the plugs. If there is any hope at all the engine isn't damaged, cranking it with water in the cylinders and the plugs in place will squash the slim hope that it can recover.
Also drain the oil as any water that was in the cylinders will seep into the crank case.

update: after pulling all the plugs i found several of them were wet. (duh) pulled fuse for the fuel pump and let the wife bump it. nothing, just the solenoid would click.
so, i went and got my long handled ratchet and tried turning the crank manually. it wouldnt budge, just tighten the bolt on the end of the crank.
my dad who has done a lot of mechanic work in the past swears up and down it HAS to be the starter so ill pull that off just to shut him up, but after trying to turn the crank by hand im thinking its not looking good.

the starter could be hung up not letting the engine turn over. sometimes when you hydrolock an engine and try to start it, it will lock the starter in the "thrown out position" and bind up under the pressure of water in the cylinders. try removing the starter and the try turning the engine over by hand again. good luck
