No, that started late in the model year. My Feb 07 does not have it.

Yeah I was gonna ask about if you had that Lifetime Engine block, drivetrain, transmission warranty.

My 2009 came "stock" with it. And then on top of that I purchased the Unlimited Bumper to Bumper. I almost cant wait for my engine to throw a rod at some high end mileage. Excuse to get a new engine block and basically start over from there. (no chance to afford a hemi in the near future lolol)

Sucks that yours didnt come with the Warranty. Ugh, id be mega pissed.

Don't say that, I'm in the 42k range on mine.

Me too... I'm at 42K

He bought that JK used, so either way, no warranty. He got rid of his first JK(2 door) for a HEMI truck and then came back to the JK with a 4 door. Hope it all works out. Let us know what happened. Haven't seen you around much. Have you been training for a ride or something lately?

I would be curious if the JK's blowing engines are the same ones that are missing oil also. You see alot of threads of Jeeps missing half their oil by the time of their oil change. I know after reading those threads I checked my oil and it's still at the "FULL" mark. No change from when I changed my oil last.

it seems to be so inconsistent.. after reading all these threads about a year ago I started making it a habit to check my oil at every fill-up and i seem to never be off of the full mark or by 3000 miles im at maybe 1/8" or so lower than when I had the oil changed.. im at 19,500 miles now..

yet we hear about those running 1 quart out every 1000 miles..

ive seen at least a couple threads where people with blown engines noted their oil level on full....

wonder if it has any connection to those with the startup knock due to bad oil filter anti-drainback valves....

if enough engine damage is occuring to eventually cause a spun bearing....

There is another JK'er up in the xtreme modified that has a blown motor at 40,000. I suspect we are going to be seeing more of this since a lot of folks are running around half a hundred right about now.

I'm coming up on 50K and after seeing the low oil threads have been checking and like others have said, I'm not seeing a drop in mine. Fortunately I have the lifetime warranty, but it would still suck to blow an engine as I'm sure the dealer would want my records on oil changes, which I'm sure I don't have all the receipts, and give me a hard time about it.
