Default Engine Claening

Has anybody cleaned their 3.8L with a cleaning solution ? How did it work and is it safe for all the materials under the hood. What areas do you avoid spraying and flushing with water?

Spray Nine cleaner and just regular hose pressure....if you do it regularly it doesn't take much to keep it looking new. My engine bay on my 08' Rubi looks better than when i drove it off the lot!

don't spray directly at the alternator.

I used gunk engine bright and it worked good, just avoid the intake and alternator and probably the battery area?
