It's pretty cool but I wonder how or if a lift would affect it.

Can't see how a lift would have any effect on it. The motor is going to turn drive shafts at the front and rear diffs just like an engine.

I'm all for exploring this technology, but will likely be a while before we see it as a viable option on a Jeep that can go off-road.

You better believe it's a long time comin. Maybe not even in our lifetime. People just don't realize how far we have to go with electric vehicles. They think we can see a few concepts and it's right around the corner. They haven't a clue.

Hmm i want one, but i wonder how the batteries would do off road, with very little speed braking to recharge the system.
