you can shift into 4hi up to 55mph, I try to limit it to 50.

Remember you are now pulling the vehicle and if you have additional weight from gear, it'll make that front work harder.

Turning and slip criteria when in 4hi still appy so keep your speed down. Yes, it'll be the longest miles...

When you get home and get the rear DS back in, don't just slip it out of 4hi. While still in 4hi, back up about 20 feet. I know it's an old fix to unlock but when I had to drive with just front DS, I found it kind of tough to get out of 4hi. I put it back in 4hi, backed up and was able to slip in and out of 4hi easily.

with the rear shaft pulled, there should be no issues with "slip criteria" which Inassume you are talking about the use of 4WD in pavement.

If this is what you mean, there should be no binding when turning at all. This only happens when both front and rear driveshafts are engaged and the front is traveling a different distance than the rear when in a turn.

It should handle just like a front wheel drive car. I see no reason why you can't run 60mph.

You shouldn't have a problem I've done a 300+ mile trip on the front drive shaft due to a failure of the rear shaft. I didn't have any problem doing highway speeds 65-70 mph. The only thing that felt different was low speed turning.

If you have the woods 1310 shaft and the centering yoke was what failed in the CV here are some useful replacement part numbers

Napa PUJ 607
Advance Auto Parts 7-0082

easy to fix, pull the ujoint at the TC end, remove old yoke, install new yoke, reinstall ujoint bolt the DS back in.

I decided to order a new one and have old fixed for a spare. Never want to lose rear shaft far from home again without spare
