My rear tom woods driveshaft died 300 miles from home. Didn't hit it ir anything. Started squeaking on drive to jamboree. Turned into a rumble/vibration by 2st day. I just pulled it. The u joints seem ok but cv looks Fucked up. Can I drive 300 miles on front shaft? It is stock ds up front. What speed should I drive? Can I have local ds shop fix or does it need to go back to tom woods? Please help. Need answers soon. I am leaving for home in morning.

i have driven mine about 100 miles from home front driveshaft only. i took it easy and did slower accelerations and didnt go much faster than 50mph. it sucks but you can do it. i know the roads to olean use to work for dresser rand tpd years ago.
a good driveline shop could fix it.

Do u think I could do 60 on straight highway if I accellerate slow and don't hammer on it? The trip.back us all highway and 50 o may cause accident. If I take 2 lane roads it will b a lot more turning and stopping and accellerating

I would say yes, but remember that all your getting there is on that front shaft. be safe and let us know when you get there.

I've had to use front DS before - start slow, take it easy and watch the turns, tthat's where the stress will be using 4hi.
I traveled 50mph, did stop to check things about every hour - also if you're weighed down, you may want to take it slower.
I've also used bailing wire and duct tape to hold a rear DS together, the heat made it a bitch to get the duct tape off but it got me home.
Good luck

When you write "The u joints seem ok but cv looks Fucked up" to what exactly are you referring? Your aftermarket driveshaft's CV is comprised of two u-joints, a centering yoke, and the double yoke holding them. If any of those pieces is broken, you should be able to find a driveshaft shop or auto parts store that has the parts you need in stock. Sounds like the centering yoke or u-joints failed due to lack of lubrication so I'd replace all the u-joints and begin to follow a more aggressive maintenance schedule for aftermarket driveshafts.
Theoretically you can drive that far using front wheel drive, but you'll have to stay under 45mph (I think it's 45 but check the manual to be sure) and the handling characteristics of the Jeep will seem foreign and odd to you. A friend of mine did so in his TJ once and he said it was the longest 50 miles of his life.
I hope it all works out for you and it sucks that your Jamboree trip was marred by this event.
