I don't think it is hard to get out of the seat fabric at all.
HOWEVER...Getting it out of the carpet is impossible! I took my two beasts for their first ride this weekend. When time came to clean up the JK I assumed I could just vaccum the hair right out....HA! It wouldn't budge. It is still in there. That carpet like weaves the hair into it and it won't come out.
Anybody have any miracle tips for getting the hair out of the carpet?????
Like I said though, mine came right out of the seats no problem.

my dog doesn't get on the seats in our cars, so no problem there.
however, he does ride in the backs and the carpet is a mess. i use an outdoor scrub brush with short thick bristles to 'brush' it out and then vacuum it.
my parents got a cover that lays down in the back of their vehicles. it is made of ballistic nylon or cordura (something like that) and has some nylon tie downs on the corners and then velcro in various places on the bottom. they don't use the tie downs since the velcro holds just fine onto the carpet.
i think it is just a generic cover they found at petsmart or somewhere similar.
they just pull it out and shake it off afterwards. i am going to have to hunt something like that down.
similar to this one i found at pets' mart, just search for 'cargo liner' on their site...

Thanks for the ideas. I actually did try a lint brush with sticky and was getting nowhere fast with that method. I didn't however try a brush.
I have been thinking about making something like tjworld described. I think I am going to make it with velcro attachments. I tested the velcro and it sticks great to the carpet. Plus if I make it I am going to make some that velcro to the back of the back seat also because they rub up against that if the seat is up and it is stuck all up in there too. Plus I am going to make it khaki instead of black just for the heat absorbtion.

The dog hair is the biggest reason why we are thinking about installing the rubber floor liner. Has anyone tried that combo....shedding dog with rubber floor liner? Or, has anyone tried the neoprene seat cover with a hair ball dog?
