Does Your Girl friend/Wife Love or hate your Jeep???

My wife loves the jeep. She had final say so if I could get it or not, and since she had been bugging me to get one since we had first started dating I knew she'd say yes. Already have a list of mods for it, and instead of rolling her eyes and trying to shut me up when I talk about them, like she would with my trucks, she actually listens and ask what they're for. Cant wait for my son to get old enough to enjoy too, hes only 5 months right now.

My wife realized early on that if I wasn't individualizing my vehicle I was trading them in every 6 months to a year. The $15 grand in Mods is nothing compared to depression.

My wife likes the jeep. She just hates the continual mods. She gave me three weeks to have everything done I want done then no more. Needless to say I am making some additions and will be done Friday this week. Looking forward to getting it back.

x2. I get tired of them after a couple of years. I keep looking for something different. I had a '96 Z71 for over eight years and I was always tinkering on it. After it, I got married and I've owned an '04 Ram, '07 Ram extended cab, an '09 Ram quad, and I currently own '11 JKU-R. The others were all Laramie edition so there wasn't much to upgrade and they were too nice to take very far off road. I think the Jeep will stick around a while.

My wife calls my Jeep "cute", threatens to drive it but won't, and knows it cost nearly 50K.
But after knowing me for over 40 years (since age 13 or so) she figures it keeps me happy, is one of the slower vehicles I ever owned, and at least it has 4 wheels. She knows I keep it under 90 mph because it handles poorly above that. All a huge moderation for me, I am getting old.
So while she does not have the passion for vehicles (much less a Jeep) that I do and she never will, she tolerates my excesses with the Jeep because they are pretty mello compared to past decades.
However, if I am 20 minutes late coming home she still calls my cell to check which direction my "This Side Up" decal is showing or that I did not detour to some 2 track.
I have a very sweet wife.

My wife hated all the money I kept dumping into the Jeep, but after getting back from Moab for EJS she starting asking if we could get the jeep lifted so we could do more things.
Needless to say, the Teraflex 2.5 coil lift went on a few weeks later and no one complained about the cost! Tee hee
