Do you wave to built up Cherokees?

My last wheeling trip included Jeeps of all vintage from an old Willys ( that was awesome) to 2 late model JKs and a couple of lifted XJs, 13 rigs in all. We hit the trails as a group and came back as one. If I will wave at a mall crawler because it is a Wrangler, I will for sure wave at a trail ready XJ.

Unbelievable. Adults having this conversation. "Do you wave?"
Sheesh. Common civility says you wave, obstinate childishness says you don't.
"My Jeep is better than your Jeep, so I'm not gonna wave at you!"
Are you frickin' kiddin' me?????
WAVE for cryin' out loud!! What is it gonna hurt???

^^^ wow... incredibly productive post mac...
jks, cjs, tjs, yjs wave to each other... it has always been that way.
corvettes wave to only corvettes
motorcycles wave to only motorcycles
and i think some xjs wave to other xjs.
Its not being childish... its being different. you obviously don't understand.

When I'm in one of my modified XJs I get looks from everyone, but only get the wave from other lifted XJs. Especially when I'm on my daily commute through Johnson Valley. But when I'm in the Rubicon, I only get waves from other Wranglers. I laugh when people say that a Cherokee isn't a "real" Jeep. In my many years of offroading, from my 61 Scout in high school, to the many Jeeps I've owned...and still own today, to my 08 Rubicon, I can say with experience that a stock XJ or stock Wrangler can go places and do things that stock Jeeps go and do.
....and if you mod them out, that'a all the better!

No, I don't understand, if someone waves at me, I wave back. I don't judge their rig first. If I see a Jeep, or any other rig, I try to wave. If I miss them, I miss them, but I don't "not wave" on purpose.
Of course, I try to wave at any yellow vehicle as well, because that is REALLY different...lol.

Also I've had several Jeep vehicles, four cherokees and two wranglers now. I never even thought of not waving to anyone.
I must be deficient somehow.
