Do I get a 2007-2010 or a 2013-14 for a DD? Why are used Jeeps so expensive?

I got my sport for 23,300 in auto and 24B package (3.73, AC and hard top too). Window sticker was 25,998. So its a base model (like I wanted) but I walked in with a dealer listing from within 200 miles and said "beat this price or I take a drive." I got down to the point we were arguing over 20 bucks and 4 free oil changes. got the oil changes and figured that its as far as I can get.

Thanks for all the advise.

Whichever route you go, I would encourage you to pick up a Jeep with the newer Pentastar 3.6L motor (2012 or later). This coming from a guy w/ the old 3.8L. The power is night and day.

Honestly after having a 3.6 2 door for a few weeks and a sprintex supercharged 4 door I think the 3.6 is nice but not holy geez faster. My 3.8 without the sc was a dog but with 5.13 gears and the sc I don't think my 2 door is quicker than me 4 door. I can say I don't think I need more power for the 3.6 2 door but I sure still like my 4 door.

That may be true. I don't have any SC experience so I check to you on that. The 3.8 by itself with stock gears remains un-impressive.
