Well, here's a good one for you.

I was out of town and lost my Jeep key, and the Jeep dealer I took my rig to was only able to cut me a key without the fob. Does anyone know of a way to permanently disable the security alarm until I can pony up for a new fob?

Apparently by cutting me a new key, they have permanently made my other existing key unusable, and it can't be reprogrammed for the vehicle.

I looked in the manual for a way to permanently disable the alarm, but I can't seem to find anything, does anyone else have experience with this?

Why can't he program you a new fob? Aren't you in their system?
