dirty vs. clean?

If you run a search you will find at least one long thread on this subject.
Many of us like to wear our Jeep's mud and grime as a badge of honor for weeks.
Personally, I think it's a bad idea for two reasons:
1. Metal particularly on the undercarriage (suspension, steering and driveline) and grime don't coexist well. Usually grime gets the best of metal.
2. A grimmy undercarriage makes it difficult for regular inspections, maintenance or trail repairs.
Maybe I am just old school, but I have always believed it was good insurance to clean my four or two wheel, four leg or double barrel toys before I put them away, so I can use them next time.

my jk stays real dusty due to the south texas weather...thiers alot of sandy dirt here on my ranch so i dont wash it as often as i should....i guess i wash it every two weeks...and then i gets it dirty again..
