The new " EcoDiesel " 3.0 Turbo , introduced to the US market in the Grand Cherokee , has been chosen as one of
" 2014 Wards 10 Best Engines " after extensive review. Great news for JK owners and fans who have been asking for a factory diesel option for years in the US market . Now one step closer to reality , allowing the Wrangler to keep its suspension , iconic looks ( read " weight " ) intact . The 3.0 gives torque , fuel economy , meeting tougher CAFE standards , just what we have begged for .
Perhaps starting a Poll to give Corporate an idea of demand would get their attention .
Grand Cherokee owners didn't ask , but they received . Our turn. !

I would pay 50k for a 4 door Rubicon X one with the 3.0 I would order one the first day I could.

 

The diesel 3.0 turbo , offered in the Grand Cherokee , is a fact ,, as well as the award for 10 Best Engines by Wards'.

Yep 4500 in GC and only 2600 in ram 1500. Give the wrangler the ram price please

 

Until Jeep comes out with a diesel Wrangler with a window sticker its just a fantasy.
