As far as I know, nothing has been done for it. I haven't seen any recalls, so there's still a problem that needs to be worked out.

it has been one month since i emailed jeep about this issue and have still received no reply. has anyone heard anything new regarding this?

Update: I have the report from the fire inspection. I did read anything that helped understand what happened. Jeep also did an inspection and stated that they see nothing that was caused by a defect which wasn't a surprise.

Does the trannie still have fluid in it? It would be interesting to see exactly how much fluid is missing!
