Never get waves in Santa Monica either. Started flipping people off to see if they were even watching. Nope. No one has reacted at all. So, if you're in Santa Monica and someone in a JK flips you off, just wave back and smile and know that you've made my day

It's the same on the East Coast. So many soccer moms bought JK's they have no idea about jeeps or the history of the jeep wave....
With all these soccer moms jumping on the bad wagon soon you will see:Leather, heated seats, power mirrors and steering wheel controls......OH WAIT!!!!!

Funny that this thread come up today, as this very thing happend to my wife and I on Monday. We were going down the road and waved at another JK coming our way, and he just looked at us like we had lost our mind. I have personally found very few people here in Salt Lake City and the surrounding towns that will give you the time of day. Must have been different in the past from what I read.

At first, after getting the JK, I was anxious to wave, its like riding a bike (Motorcycle...). Used to be, everyone waved, now you have to be on the right bike. Well, Jeeps are no different, but in a different way. I don't care if you use your Jeep to go to the mall or crawl over rocks, it is a lifestyle. But thats me. 25% returned. My wife gets mad at me, maybe she doesn't get it! I still try, but now I find myself trying to read the other driver..... soccer moms don't wave.
