I knew I wasnt going crazy. Cant stand dealerships like this. I think ill just wait till they get a Rubicon in, test drive it and take my business else where. Sucks because theyre only 5 miles away from where I live. Everything they said that sounded shakey I questioned it and they had a bit of an attitude about it too. I just helped my uncle buy a ford escape where I bought my Mustang at right before going to this dealership and their delearship and salesmen where a night and day difference compaired to the Jeep one. Thanks for all the help and comments everyone.

There should be a thread exposing shady dealers and praising those who are honest and have earned their good reputations...

Before giving up on the Dealership it may be just a case of salesman (saleswoman) ignorance. I am astonished at how many car salespeople have absolutly NO idea what they are selling. The Sales Manager may help, or the General Manager - these days not too many dealers want to ose a sale because their sales person is stupid.

Shop around. Good thing about Jeep is that there are a ton of dealerships and they are all competing for your business. All of them have to perform warranty work regardless of where you bought it (some are more mod friendly than others). You can easily price exactly what you want and see the MSRP at Jeep's site. Other sites like edmunds show invoice and what other people are paying.

yeah it sounds like the salesman doesm't know what he is talking about. I would call and complain to the sales manager or general manager and tell them your going to complain to Chrysler about the dealership about the salesman's lack of knowledge and trying to price gouge you. The dealer can get into big truble for both of those.

I agree 100% with this. It would help out people looking for a new Jeep have a better and easier experience buying and help out the good dealerships at the same time.

Haha, thats the thing too. After the test drive the salesmen asked me what I would rate it and I said I loved it other then the power (I knew it was going to be alot slower but I was just being honest). Then when we got back to the dealership he said to the manager sarcasticlly "He said he liked it but it doesnt have enough power, but OF COURSE hes coming from a 412hp Mustang" and then they both laughted. It was like a slap in my face.

Honestly it ruined my experience and when I left I said screw it, ill stay with the Mustang. Once I calmed down tho, I thought it over and really liked the ride and everything. Ill wait for the Rubicon to come in, test drive it with a different salesman and see what happens.

My 2010 JKUR has less power than my worn out '98 Cherokee, it gets similar or worse gas mileage, it rides harshly with the tires inflated hard, the BFG muds are noisy and track poorly, it leaks, and I love it!!!!! Unless you are planning to do lots of mods, then a Rubi is just awesome!! Off the shelf 4-wheeling ability is truly second to none. Your Mustang sounds like an awesome beast, and in all likelihood, you will miss the power at some point, however, I found very quickly that you have to like the Rubi for what it is, not hate it for what it isn't. Hope it all works out for you, and if you don't mind going used, then look for a traded-in Rubi on a non-Jeep dealer lot. There are some really great deals to be had that way......The non-Jeep dealers don't know a Rubi from an X/Sport......

The Rubicon does not include every option. I just went to the website and easily took it from a base price of $29,995 (+900 destination) to well over $38,000. And that was without an automatic transmission. With an auto and a couple more options I got it close to $40K.

Ask to talk to someone else, maybe the guy didnt know much about wranglers. sounds like he was telling u the rubi has all the stuff over the sport. You can get a base rubi for low 30's. I had a dealer tell me that they had no 11's on the lot (when the 11's had just come out) and that the 10's and 11's are 100% the same. I then took him around and showed him the differences. I asked to deal with someone who knows the product.

I agree it amazes me how little product knowledge some sales people have. It really takes from the whole experience.
