Is this Dealership Trying to be Sneaky?
Alright guys, I test drove a Wrangler, loved it. I think the power difference is something I would have to get used to. It feels like a slug compaired to my Mustang, but thats to be expected. Anyway, I think this dealership is trying to pull a fast one on me. When I go to Jeep's website and price out a Rubicon with everything I want it comes out to $34,000 basically. But when I asked about options on it at the dealership they said that eletric swaybar's, diff locks and rock rails are an option and you have to price in the transmissions and everything also. I said yeah the auto but not the manual, thats standard with the eletric swaybar's, diff locks and rock rails on a Rubicon. They said no you have to price in the trans and all that, EVEN the manual trans. Im sorry but doesnt the Rubicon come standard with all that stuff? When they priced out a Rubicon with everything I wanted just like the one on Jeep's website it came out to nearly $40,000. Where are they getting this extra $6,000 difference from? Thats without all the taxes and stuff added on too.
They also didnt have a Rubicon on the lot so I test drove a Sport just to get an idea of how it felt on the road and they said that the Sport drives and rides EXACTLY the same as a Rubicon. Is that true? I dont think it is. So is this dealership trying to pull a fast one on me?

Ask to see the invoice. In my experience, every legit, customer friendly dealer that wants your business and wants you to be happy with the del, will show you the invoice if you ask. If they don't, walk away.

I had a similar experience, I went with a carmax dodge/chrysler/jeep dealership that didn't do any of the crap - price was flat no negotiation, thousands lower than the dealer's starting offer and they also had way more inventory. Could not be simpler, found the car on the internet, walked up and said I want that one. Out the door and home 3 hours later in an awesome new jeep. AND I found the freaking local dealer type salespeople didn't even know anything about the jeeps they were selling and could not advise me. I was rather pissed after trying several times to engage... I was really going to buy and they just let me down so much I drove 60 miles away to vote with my dollar.
Another bad experience at a Toyota dealership as well. Well sir, that model is just not available, let me suggest a Yaris since you are going to be commuting (I was there wanting to order a Tacoma pre-runner specifically with a manual).

x2, as you build your Rubi @ the Jeep website, print out the options and pricing. For me the only addition/difference In pricing were taxes and delivery charge. They are just marking up the price to make additional profit...

Theyre full of crap, The rubicon does ride very different. It has different shocks which i thought gave it a tighter ride. I test drove both a sahara and rubi when i went to buy mine and definitely felt the difference. And i wouldnt pay any more than what you built online said
