Welcome to the club!! Straight up windshields are very susceptible to rock damage. Hopefully you have glass breakage coverage on your insurance policy.

Defrost just lengthened my crack all the way across the windshield. This will be number 4. I get a new one every time I have to get safety inspection. Enjoy the crack, it gives your jeep character.

"Safelite repair, Safelite replace" If the crack is smaller than a dollar bill they can fix it without replacing your entire windshield. They drill into the crack with a dremil, pop the air and moisture out with a scribe, shoot some resin into it and waaaaa ****ing laaaa, most of the time not even noticeable. I worked for them two years, I made magic and put smiles on peoples faces when they found out they didn't have to replace their whole windshield. And it's guaranteed that the repair won't crack any further. Good luck

I'm setting up my third appointment since November... Only one that isn't fixable is right in the corner. Hope to get this next appointment before this latest one grows to big.

I usually only replace when it's inspection time. Every once in a while I'll get a fix it ticket, but I've never been pulled over because of a crack. Get any chips sealed ASAP, it's much less expensive than the average deductible for insurance.

I would not use them just because of their little jingle!
