Only have a soft top. Never had a hard top......never wanted one, and never wish I had one.....and I live in Alaska. The heater works so well it's never a problem in the winter even at -20.
That being said tho.........you living in NJ, I would think the security of the heard top would play a fig factor...

I hope I can convince you...
I have an unused soft top I'm selling. Its off a 2009 2dr dual top option. I just don't have enough post to put up in the for sale section. PM me if your interested.

That said it looks alright on the 4 dr if your JKU is all modded up with lift, larger tires, rims etc.
Just my 2 cents.

I have the dual top. Use the hard top for winter, soft top for everything else. When I had my TJ I only had the soft top. When I traded that in,I was hell bent on getting both tops, and I am sure glad I did. You should def get a soft top, you will not regret it!!

you live in NJ, GET BOTH. you'll thank me 100x's over. it's perfect for this area hardtop winter=retains heat and easier to brush the snow off of the windows. softtop=summer at the shore 10 minutes top down convertible freedom!

It doesn't seem like you need much convincing! I only have the soft-top and am glad that's all I have, driving through Houston in 95+ weather it's still pleasant and that's why the top is down around 90% of the time.
