Aren't the Compass and the Patriot "Trail Rated" too?

Ohh, we will just wait till the next SEMA show. Then we'll see how people will equip their Patriot. ( most likely 30 inch chrome and giganto sub-woofers.....and ladies in bikinis)

Oh well. I'm not going to worry about ANYTHING that Jeep does outside of the Wrangler. It's all I will need and all I will ever want. If they care to make the Gladiator, that will be fine, but I have no hard feelings against DCX since they pulled it off quite well with the Wranglers this time around.
BTW, the "Tail Rated" comment was pretty good

Is there any real definition of "trail rated?".
According to this article:
http://www.izoom.com/auto.aspx?artic...eppatriot.html
Which, by the way says the patriot does pretty good offroad, it says:
"To earn Jeep's self-awarded Trail Rated rating and thus Trail Rated badges for its front quarter panels, a vehicle must meet specific minimum standards for such things as approach and departure angles, power and torque delivery, water fording and more."
Which doesnt sound very hard to accomplish.

Cherokee to be reintroduced
Remember that the Gladiator came out before the JK?
The JK came out with styling from the Gladiator.
Remember the Trailhawk concept?
I've heard the Cherokee will be reintroduced in North America with designs from the Trailhawk, and based on the JK platform.
I hope my '99 Cherokee will keep me on the road till then. Probably have another 5 to 8 years in it depending on my mods and replacement parts.
I'll probably have a JK before then anyway.
Cheers!
Jack.
By the way, I'M MOVING TO CALGARY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You know I may shot down for this, but I recently was given a Commander for a rental car (Jeep) and I REALLY liked it and it was only the 6 cylinder. Once I drove it around for a few days in NH, I was quite impressed. I am buying a new Rubicon for me but if my wife liked it, I would buy her a loaded one...
Sorry...
