Coldest you've rode w/o Top
#31
In the 50s at night a few nights ago. Had the pleasure of riding with the top up but no windows in(I have half doors). That was pretty cold to me; but I'm not real used to the cold weather being from the South, lol.

I drove from Phoenix through Flagstaff up to the Grand Canyon in a snow storm with the top down... I was all bundled up, and had a blast freezing my butt off.... The Grand Canyon in winter is beautiful.

i do my annual cold offroad trip to somewhere... last time was 22 degrees when I left the house before sunrise with no top and no doors. high temp for the day 33*
that was a bit too cold for my liking... kinda regretted it by the time I hit the highway... but by then I was commited to 70 miles at 70 mph
you know its cold when you stop the vehicle and feel warm even though its below freezing

Great thread. In Northern New England this past late September we had an 80+ deg Saturday so of course I took the top and all 4 doors off. My GF and I decided to drive up to the White Mountains in NH, where it was still in the mid 70s. At the base of Mt. Washington it was 75, at the summit....44. The whole 2 hr ride back down north to MA was about 48-50 haha. Good thing I keep blankets in the trunk. Worth it though, the views with the doors and top off were priceless!

I was out in the Glamis Desert in So Cal where it was in the mid 80's. No Top and at that time we had issues with the windows not rolling up. The 2 1/2 hour ride back home consisted of driving up and over the mountains. I was in a t-shirt, shorts and flip flops, perfect desert atire. As I drove up the mountain the temp kept dropping and hit 43f. For a So Cal girl who feeezes in anything below 65f I thought I was gonna die. We stopped at the top of the hill and my passanger got out and rode the rest of the way in the motorhome. What a whimp, lol

I haven't done much cold weather top down due to my 2'yr old. But a few years back I made a trip from MA to NJ for training on my motorcycle it was 28 when I left my house that night. 4 hours later in NJ was in lower 20's. I had ice on inside of my helmet shield from my breath. It was a little cold, got lots of waves on expressway. Probably guys saying haha I have my heat on high right now. And I'll just say bike was not a touring bike, no full fairings just a small windscreen that's useless at 70mph anyway
