Default Clutch pedal

Has anyone else experience there clutch pedal release really high almost to the point where it's all the way out before it grabs. I mean it's not slipping or anything but just releases really high. The tranny still shifts smooths and has no problems in any gear. Fluid is all good and where it need to be also checked the slave no leaks.

Any help would be appreciated

I'm having the same issue with my 09 rubicon. Bought it used and it was like that when I got it. I hate it!! Going to let a shop check it out this afternoon. If they can figure it out I'll repost and let you know. If not I'm seriously considering purposly smoking that clutch and replacing it.

The thing that sucks is that there's no way to adjust it cause its a hydraulic clutch.
Worst clutch I've had in any car and that includes 2 previous Jeeps.

Looks like my clutch is just worn and needs to be replaced.

How did they come up with that conclusion? How many miles are in your jeep?

Yeah it sucks not being able to adjust it. You either have it or not

Have you guys bled the slave recently? It made a dramatic pedal difference for me.

No I was thinking about bleeding the whole system to see if that helps at all or even replacing the slave it a fairly cheap part.

When you bleed it did you just open and close a few time or do you remove a lot of fluid?

Can someone give step-by-step directions on how to bleed the system. I would love to give it a try.
