-Hemi engine, if upgrading from your standard 3.8L then pay no more than $3,500
-Roll bar covers that dont fade so easily from dirt, water and sun, possibly made out of high strength webbing... why have your jeep look like s*&t after dropping so much money into it - $0
-5 speed automatic transmission. Never should have had the 4 speed in it there in the first place - $0
-Seats with lumbar support. Toyota offers it as standard - $0
-Low fuel icon (DTE) that will actually count all the way down to 0 miles. That "LOW FUEL" thing is BS - $0
-ESP turn off switch (that actually turns off, not semi off) - $0
-Long arm upgrade with the Rubi model - $350
-Tire carrier that can hold a 37" tire - $0
-Stronger cross member - $0
-Better gas milage - Priceless

You asked for it.
My first 4WD was a 72 Chevy Blazer and I bought several more. Stopped when they turned it into what we called a cowboy cadillac. Switched to Jeeps cause the stayed purpose built. 2011 Wrangler pics remind me of the cowboy cadillac. WRONG DIRECTION but what do you expect from the NEW automotive industry leaders.
KISS! KEEP IT SIMPLE STUPID!

Agree with that 100%......ALSO Lifted Jeeps by a certified mech with certified after market parts should have NO AFFECT ON YOUR WARRANTY.! Non-servicable joints PLEASE how cheap is that. $1300 bucks to replace all ball joints, tie-rod ends, worn out at 30k miles, with suitable servisable after market parts. I refuse to replace them with OEM parts. Track Bar situation was another issue.... FIX WHAT YOU HAVE TODAY BEFORE THINKING ABOUT FUTURE MODEL UPGRADES.................

Diesel and V8 options - $2000-$3000
Dual door option (color matched) - $1500(2dr), $2500(4dr)
Easier access to rear seat (2dr) - $0 design flaw
A gas tank that doesn't overflow - $0 design flaw
Dana 60 standard for the rear on Rubicon and optional up front - $1500
Gearing options - $0 gears aren't that expensive
Factory installed lifts (2', 2.5', 3', 3.5', 4') - $700-$1200 (not a penny more) these parts can be put on at the factory in leu of OEM
Factory installed aftermarket bumpers - retail cost of bumper (I am talking about from REAL off-road companies not MOPAR brand: ARB, AEV, PureJeep, Fab Fours, etc)
Flooring option similar to the Honda Element or Line-x - $400
switch box from factory to match interior - $300
Factory tailgate able to hold up a 37 inch tire - $0 (it does not have to accommodate a 37' with a stock bumper, just able to hold the weight)
Hood and tailgate props - $100 for both (should be stock)
Real lights - $0 (basic vehicle necessity)
Factory 12V and 110V outlets (with inverter) front and rear - $400
Increase in overall quality, particularly the interior

2011, ideas for improvement
2. Remove the goofy large rear window mounted motor, it is a blind spot out the rear view mirror. I tried to purchase a new back window without the motor and there are no replacement glass without the holes for the motor and the black out painted on the glass.
3. Put the headlights / parking lights on a normal switch on the dash. I can not tell you how many times that I would like to break off that #$%^&*( stupid headlight switch that is on the turn indicator.
4. Put the trip button where one who is with huge hands can actually reset easily. What a joke, you have to thread your hand inside the steering wheel and press the button like a little tinker bell fairy.

I have just 2000 miles on a new Jeep 2011, it is an automatic transmission and the first thing that I would change is the jogging shifter. There is no reason to have jogs in an automatic shifter, just make it straight, from Park to Drive to Reverse, no jogging.

1. Jogging shifters? They installed a whole new trans, came out of an AMG Mercedes. New shifter as well..
2. If you haven't noticed, there's a huge tire in the way too. Can't have everything.
