Chrysler Lifetime Maximum Care
#12
Cost is between $2000-$3000 for the Chrysler lifetime warranty. I paid $2500 for mine. I think you can get it cheaper online through Chrysler compared to buying it at the time of vehicle purchase from the dealer. Although the dealer may claim to give you a better price on the vehicle if if agree to buy the warranty.

First, I'll state this: I didn't buy the warranty "yet".
Second, I work as an F&I Manager at a FIAT dealer, so I have access to the Chyrsler service contracts at cost, and know how they work.
It is cancellable with a pro rated return as long as you cancel within 7 years100k miles of purchase. The dealer's cost on this contract is just slightly under $2k, within dollars. If you plan on having your Jeep for longer than 7 years, it's well worth the money for any electrical issues you may have, and let's face it, it is a Chrysler product, so there's bound to be something electrical wrong in the future. The only way you may void the "warranty" is by abuse or neglect. It also will not cover any aftermarket components, or issues resulting from an aftermarket component, so no, it won't cover your lift, etc... Being in the business, I am still very inclined to buy this on my '12 JKUR because of possible future electrical issues, and internal machanical issues. There are a LOT of electronically controlled parts of the engine, dash, fuel management, climate control, sound system, etc..., so the potential for payout is very high in the grand scheme of things. Now, if you don't plan on keeping your Jeep that long, I would strongly suggest you purchase a 7 or 8 year contract instead. It will be less expensive (not sure on cost of those because I haven't priced them out as I plan on keeping mine longer). If you go that route, it will be transferrable if you sell your Jeep before it expires, or cancellable with a pro rated return as well. The other benefit of purchasing a 7 or 8 year contract is that you end up cancelling the contract, it will lower your overall cost in the end, due to it being pro rated.
Ultimately your decision should be based on your gut. Will you have better piece of mind knowing that you are covered if something goes out, or are you willing to take the risk and pay out of pocket if it does? Remember, there is no limit as to how many claims you may make against the warranty contract, and still cancel for a pro rated refund if you don't keep it to term. So, like highoctane said, one fix of the MyGig paid for the contract, and he/she can still make many more claims against it, and they are way ahead of the game.
Good luck in your decision, and feel free to PM me if you have any questions.

One thing that surprised me when I read my contract: if the repair cost exceeds the value of the vehicle then the contract is void. This shouldn't be a big deal since they hold their value for a long time. However if you plan to keep it for 15 or more years and you need an engine replaced after that you may be out of luck.

Got my lifetime warranty at the dealer when buying my new JK as I plan to keep it forever. I checked the Chrysler website later to compare prices, and the dealer was pretty much the same. Approximately $3000. Not a bad price for lifetime peace of mind.

Looking at getting my first Jeep in the VERY near future and was looking into getting the lifetime warranty. Is the "Lifetime Added Care" a decent plan or should I just go with the "Lifetime Maximum Care"? Looks like about $500 between the two. I planning on keeping my Jeep a loooong time, at least 10 years. By that time, my kids will be starting college, so probably a lot longer.
